What We Believe
More about Belfast School of theology.
Dr Amy Orr-Ewing
Date: Tuesday 20th January
Time: 7.00pm – 9.00pm
Join us for An Evening with Dr Amy Orr-Ewing as we launch Belfast School of Theology’s Apologetics Series with the compelling question: Is belief in God realistic for 21st-century people?
In a culture shaped by division, grievance and rage, Amy will offer a clear, thoughtful and accessible case for the Christian faith today.
This evening is ideal for students, church leaders, and anyone curious about faith, doubt, and the big questions of life. Whether you are a committed believer, or considering faith, we’d love you to join us!.
Prepared to Lead:
Morning Conference
With Dr Amy Orr-Ewing
Date: Wednesday 21st January
Time: 9.30am – 12.30pm
Join Dr Amy Orr-Ewing for an inspiring and thought-provoking morning exploring vital themes for today’s Church.
Amy will offer practical and spiritual insight on Leading Yourself, Your Life and Others as a Follower of Jesus, drawing on her experience as a theologian, author, speaker, and leader to encourage purposeful living and wise, Christ-centred influence in every sphere of life.
Alongside this, she will engage the challenging question If God Is an Egalitarian, Why was Jesus born a Man?, exploring the theology of gender in Scripture and its implications for church leadership today. With clarity, depth, and pastoral sensitivity, Amy invites us to think carefully about Jesus, equality, and how the Church can lead faithfully and wisely in a complex cultural moment.
This event is ideal for anyone seeking to grow in self-leadership, theological understanding, and confident, compassionate leadership in their family, workplace, church, or community.
Catalyst Part Time/Evening Courses & Events Coming Up...
Evening Classes take place on Tuesday evenings from 7.30pm - 9.15pm with a 15 minute break mid-evening for tea/coffee.
There are catalyst courses, certificates and modules that carry a more general appeal, delving into mystery, benchmarking faith’s curiosity and wrestling intellectual perplexity, in search of understanding and a wholesome Christian mindset (Romans 12).
And there are catalyst courses which will edify and build up Christians as they continue to walk in their Godgiven dreams: the paths set, the hedges in place, the direction clear, but the journey yet to be completed. Encouragement is an oft-neglected spiritual gift. Perhaps you need encouraged in this season of service.
While most catalyst courses will run in the evenings, a few are timetabled for daytime. Choose from the tiles below to find more information and book your place on the course you're interested in. Alternatively you might spot a course that someone you know could do and you would like to encourage them to do it.
